Fair warning: she's still working on her puppy manners and has a particular fascination with everyone's feet and those sharp little teeth—but she's getting better every day!
Portuguese Water Dogs were bred to help fishermen in Portugal. They have webbed feet and a water-resistant coat perfect for swimming.
Their curly, non-shedding coat makes them a great choice for families with allergies. Regular grooming keeps their coat healthy and mat-free.
PWDs are highly intelligent and eager to please, making them very trainable. They excel at obedience, agility, and water work.
The breed gained fame when Bo and Sunny, two Portuguese Water Dogs, lived in the White House with the Obama family.
These dogs have lots of energy and need daily exercise. They love fetch, swimming, and any activity that keeps them moving.
